In 2017 I created a complete brand refresh and new art concept for the Perth Comedy Festival.
The idea behind the concept came to me during one of my French language classes, which I was taking at the time. ‘Tu as la banane’ ( or, ‘you have the banana’) is a French idiom that refers to the shape one’s mouth makes when laughing. With this, and the vision to create a branding that was distinctly Australian in mind, my concept was born.
I was then solely responsible for creating all marketing collateral for the festival, which included print and web material, venue signage, public transport skins, program guides and street advertising.
