The Pizza Suit

AIME Exhibition Fundraiser

In late 2019 I was asked to re-design a suit as part of AIME mentoring's new clothing initiative Reclaimed.  Every year tens of billions of leftover/never worn clothes end up in landfill or being incinerated. AIME’s Reclaimed initiative aims to repurpose some of these leftover clothes in creative ways instead.

The original suit was donated by MJ Bale. I spent a couple of weeks repainting my design onto the suit, which was then donated and exhibited in Martin Place alongside other artists' creations, and put up for auction online. All proceeds of the suits sold from the Reclaimed initiative go towards AIME's mentoring work with marginalised kids in Australia and abroad.
